We’ve compiled a list of answers to common questions.
- Do we need a car to get around?
Duns Castle estate provides unrivaled seclusion and tranquility…as a consequence, there is very little public transport available. We can arrange for transfers from the train/bus station at Berwick upon Tweed or from Edinburgh or Newcastle airports by prior arrangement and for a surcharge.
- We’re interested in organising our wedding in the castle, can our guests stay in the cottages?
Of course! We offer special rates on the accommodation on the estate for exclusive hires. Contact us for all the details.
- Must we bring our own food?
Our cottages are standard self-catering, so food is not provided. However, if you require particular items, we can of course accommodate, with enough notice.
It is also worth noting that Sainsbury’s and Tesco offer a delivery service to the area. Please telephone us for further information.
